On the 1st of August, Hagal welcomed four new stars to the team, building muscles to further develop and deliver battery projects.

Katya Mustafina has taken on the role as Head of Software. She comes from Microsoft where she developed cloud solutions for Azure for 5 years. Katya has been working in the software industry for over 20 years and had roles as developer, data scientist and development manager in both large companies and startups. Hagal is thrilled that she will be leading the software team in the endeavour to provide the energy management solutions of tomorrow.

Last summer, Une Tjøm had a internship in the Hagal software team. For years she has had a keen interest in batteries and has just finished her Master´s degree in Energy, with a specialisation in optimisation, at the University of Bergen (UiB). She also holds a Bachelor´s degree in Physics from the University of Oslo (UiO) where she was headhunted to the Hagal intern role after learning about her interests and summer job at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). Hagal is very happy to finally have her as a full-time Data Scientist in our savvy software team.

Electrical engineering and hardware development

Rune Granberg is Hagal´s new Principal Electrical Engineer who is now leading electrical installation projects, safeguarding procedures, and the internal control of the Hagal Battery LifeCycle Hub in Hokksund. His know-how from electrical installations and project management is an important contribution to the Hagal team.

Hagal is also excited to onboard Hung Ly as Lead Hardware Engineer. He comes from Eltek where he spent 10 years as Senior R&D Hardware Design Engineer for power electronics. He has had a strong career in design engineering in Norway and the USA. At Hagal, he will be leading the development of the hardware team.

CTO Jonathan Edvard Bjerkedok is very excited to expand the technical expertise,  strengthening development efforts and the ability to execute and deliver battery systems and solutions.

—We are honoured to get these highly skilled and driven people onboard. We are kicking off the autumn season with a lot of positive energy and look forward to reaching new milestones together, Jonathan says.
